photo: Yi-Chun WuAshley Suttlar Martin (Director) is an Independent Artist, performing and teaching throughout the country. She holds a MFA in Dance from Temple University and a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her choreography is presented widely, from Brooklyn to San Diego. She has served on faculty at Morehead State University and Queensborough Community College - City University of New York. Since Martin's relocation to Charlotte, she participated in the 20th Anniversary North Carolina Dance Festival as a Touring Artist, became Coordinator of the 48 Hour Project (Charlotte Dance Festival Board). Martin is Designer of Embellish, Hancrafted accessories and currently serves on the Dance Department Faculty at Coker College, Central Piedmont Community College and the Dance Academy, Ballantyne Arts Center.
photo: Felton L. Martin IIAdamma Haith (Company Member, 2nd season) has a B.A. in Speech Pathology and Audiology. She, most recently earned a graduate degree in K-12 Dance Education at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Adamma began her professional dance training at the Alvin Ailey & Martha Graham Summer Intensive, earning certification as a Teaching Artist for Ailey School programs. She has performed both Capoeira and traditional dances in Brazil, South Korea and nationally. Adamma continues her work as a Teaching Artist for Charlotte Capoeira and NC Dance Theater programs. Adamma also works as an independent performer for various companies. This is Adamma's 2nd season as a 4thrightdancer.
photo: Gretchen SDanielle Kinne (4thrightdancer 2003-2005 & Company Member, 1st season) received her BFA in Modern Dance at Temple University. She began her formal training at Interlochen Arts Academy and attended Purchase College, SUNY. While living in California's Bay Area, Danielle was a member of Blind Geese Dance Co. and Crash Burn and Die Dance Co. She was a memebr of Leah Stein Dance Co. and has also worked with various companies based in Philadelphia and New York. In addition to performing, Danielle helped curate a film forum for short dance films, and presented her own films as an Independent Artist. Danielle is a returning member of 4thrightdance and joins the 2012 season.
Taurus Broadhurst (Guest Performer) began his dance training with Ezibu Muntu African Dance Company in Richmond, VA. During his studies at Virginia Commonwealth University's Department of Dance/Choreography he accepted a position as company member of Ronald K. Brown/ Evidence, NYC. He has also danced with Chuck Davis' African American Dance Ensemble Durham, NC and Rennie Harris PureMovement Philadelphia, PA. Taurus Has been working with 4thrightdance since it's inception. Recently, he launched his own dance company based in Washington, DC.

Deborah Maine has a BA in Dance Performance and Choreography, Coker College where she was granted a scholarship from The National Culture Foundation to study dance history in Barbados, West Indies. Susbequently, her senior thesis project, The Misconception of the Roots received the African American Studies Specialization Learning Across the Disciplines Award. Maine has danced professionally in the Walt Disney World production of Festival of the Lion King and Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade. She was a member Philadelphia Dance Company’s Danco II, and works as an independent performer for various companies. Maine looks forward to performing in the 4thrightdance premiere of Amphibian at the 2012 Cool New York Dance Festival.
photo:Skyla Caldwell, trained at the Charlotte School of Ballet and Point Park Conservatory in Pittsburgh, PA. She danced with North Carolina Dance Theatre as an apprentice and worked as a Teaching Artist for NCDT Outreach and Education Programs. Skyla was member of the Moving Poets Theater of Dance for eight seasons and danced with the National Ballet of Cuba in Havana, Cuba. Caldwell is associated with the Royal Academy of London and teaches throughout Charlotte and surrounding areas. Caldwell's 4thrightdance performance debut will be the premiere of Amphibian at the 2012 Cool New York Dance Festival.
